Although most University buildings are within walking distance of the main building where you’ll be signing in, you’ll be amazed by how much walking you’ll do during an Open Day so wear shoes or trainers that you’ll be happy to wear all day. We also can’t guarantee what the weather will be like so bring a coat or jacket with you.
Talks and Tours
Don’t worry! You’ll be directed to alternative sessions such as the Vice-Chancellor’s Talk, the Accommodation presentation, or one of our campus tours. Many activities are repeated throughout the day.
Yes, attending a subject talk later in the day may be quieter, giving you more time to ask questions and speak with staff and students.

Student Ambassadors
